Austin Blues Festival 2025: Where the Soul of the City Comes Alive

Some weekends are made for sleeping in. Others are made for something louder, grittier, and a whole lot more electric. April 26–27 is one of those weekends. The Austin Blues Festival is back at Moody Amphitheater.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Antone’s—Austin’s legendary blues club—and they’re throwing a party that stretches across two days, two stages, and a whole lot of history. Whether you’re a lifelong blues devotee or just someone who appreciates a guitar solo that hits you in the chest, this is the kind of event that reminds you why you live here.

Saturday, April 26

The weekend kicks off with a mix of legends and rising stars. Christone “Kingfish” Ingram brings his powerhouse guitar work, while the North Mississippi Allstars deliver their signature Southern groove. Lee Fields, Sue Foley, and Orquesta Akokán add their own flavors to the mix. And don’t miss Antone's 50th Anniversary All-Star Jam, featuring Ian Moore, Kam Franklin, and a host of surprise guests.

Sunday, April 27

Sunday’s lineup leans into the soulful side of the blues. Mavis Staples headlines with her timeless voice, joined by Gary Clark Jr., Jimmie Vaughan, and Jackie Venson. The day also features performances by Jalen Ngonda, Monsieur Periné, Sir Woman, and more. Another All-Star Jam closes out the weekend, promising collaborations you won’t see anywhere else.

The Venue: Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park

Set in the heart of downtown, Moody Amphitheater offers an open-air experience with the skyline as your backdrop. It’s the kind of place where the music feels like it’s part of the city itself.
