Get Lost in Stories: The Texas Book Festival is Nov 8–9

November 1, 2025

If you live at The Anderson or in the Austin area, here’s a literary weekend you won’t want to miss.

The 30th Annual Texas Book Festival will take place on November 8–9, 2025, at the Texas State Capitol and nearby downtown venues in Austin.

What to Expect

  • Over 250 authors engaging with readers through panels, seminars, and book signings.
  • A wide variety of free events, including author talks, cooking demonstrations, children’s programs, vendor tents, and more.
  • The schedule includes sessions in tents, churches, the Capitol extensions, cooking tents, and theaters.

Why It’s Great for Anderson Residents

  • Easy access. A short drive (or even bike/ride) to downtown makes it easy to pop in and out between sessions.
  • Flexible attendance. Many sessions are free and open walk-in style — no registration required (though seating is limited).
  • Mix & match your experience. Want to catch a few talks? Spend time in the vendor tents? You can tailor your day.
  • Cultural enrichment. This is a unique chance to connect with authors, discover new books, and enjoy the vibrant literary community right here in Austin.

Dive into pages, meet your next favorite author, and enjoy the literary energy that floods Austin each fall.
